Ann has worked in Financial Services since 2020 when she moved to France and provided Wealth Management support to Expats. Ann has since completed the Level 4 Diploma in regulated Financial Planning and now living back in the UK provides technical support to the team as a Paraplanner. Ann is looking to start the Chartered exams to continue to enhance her knowledge.

Diploma in Financial Planning – DipPFS

The level 4 Diploma demonstrates core technical understanding across a broad range of key financial planning areas.

Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics (R01)

Assesses a knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry, including regulation, legislation and the Code of Ethics.

Investment Principles (R02)

Assesses a knowledge and understanding of investment products and the application of the investment advice process.

Personal Taxation (R03)

Assesses a knowledge and understanding of the UK taxation system, and the ability to analyse the taxation treatment of individuals and trusts during the investment advice process.

Pensions and Retirement Planning (R04)

Assesses a knowledge and understanding of an ability to analyse pension and retirement planning issues.

Financial Protection (R05)

Assesses a knowledge and understanding of an ability to analyse financial protection planning issues.

Financial Planning Practice (R06)

Assesses advisers financial planning capabilities. Tests the practical application of technical knowledge and planning skills already gained, supporting the provision of competent and appropriate advice.

What matters most to Ann about working for Hartsfield?

What matters most to Ann about her specific role?

I enjoy supporting advisers to provide a high level of service to their clients. It’s fulfilling to play a part in finding solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals. The paraplanning role is varied and you can build different plans by utilising research and analytical skills. I enjoy learning and there is always a new topic to discover or tax changes to understand.

What matters most to Ann outside of work?

I enjoy travelling to experience new places, learning about different cultures and trying local cuisines. I have a Beagle called Dexter who takes up a lot of my time outside of work as he is very energetic and loves attention. I enjoy walking, swimming and horse riding to keep active and have recently joined a yoga group.
