Financial Planner Cheltenham- Role Profile
Hartsfield is looking for a salaried Financial Planner to join our existing Cheltenham team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial planning and financial advice to a portfolio of existing clients, as well as dealing with new enquiries from clients seeking advice in the areas of lifestyle/retirement planning, investments, tax and pensions.
All new enquiries will have participated in a ‘right-fit’ conversation with our experienced Business Development team to prequalify them ahead of the planning meeting.
Our offices (or Pods as we call them) are based across the South West and each pod consists of Financial Planners, Paraplanners, Relationship Managers and Administrators. This means that each colleague in each role gets to focus on what they do best.
Mentored by Bristol’s existing senior Financial Planners, this new role will look after clients with between £50,000 and £300,000 of investable assets. It is therefore ideally suited to a more newly qualified planner – who has achieved level 4 – but who needs to gain some experience before dealing with more complex areas of financial planning. This would be the expected career path.
Full support is on offer to obtain Chartered Status, including an exam and study mentor, which is something our existing colleagues have said they’ve found extremely beneficial.

Financial Planner Role Benefits
Starting Salary
£40,000
Bonus
After 12 months in the role, you will be eligible to join the pod’s bonus scheme.
Pension
5% matched pension contributions.
Holiday
33 days holiday (including bank holidays), increasing by 1 day per year, for every completed year of service (up to a maximum of 5 extra days).
